From Joe Field, SD35 Republican BPOU Chair:
Ronald Reagan proclaimed back in 1961, almost 20 years before becoming President: “But freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”
As each election passes the truth of this statement becomes a bit more evident.
But Reagan didn’t stop with just this pronouncement, this warning. He enticed us to action. His next words after this were as follows:
“We didn’t pass freedom on to our children in the bloodstream. The only way they can inherit the freedom we have known is if we fight for it, protect it, defend it, and then hand it to them with the well thought lessons of how they in their lifetime must do the same. And if you and I don’t do this, then you and I may well spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in America when men were free.”
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.”
The fight for freedom is on. The so-called Blue Wave, if successful, will lead to open borders and closed businesses, to a bloated bureaucracy reliant on the top 40% of income earners, to a weaponless citizenry subject to brutes in power. And it will lead to impeachment proceedings against Trump, no matter if cause exists or not.
We cannot let this happen.
We must fight.
We fight with our dollars
Fight with our time.
Fight with our talents.
Door knocking. Lit drops. Phone calling. Mailings. All appearing inconsequential in & of themselves but in the collective, they put stakes in the ground to saving our next generation.
We have a champion in President Trump, someone not tainted by the political process, nor focused on guaranteeing his future paycheck as an elected official. Trump is not unhinged. He is unbridled in his criticism of political correctness. And the Blue forces in this country shutter & gnash their teeth not knowing how to confront truth.
To show Trump we stand behind him we must fight. To show Peggy Scott we stand behind her in a most challenging race in recent memory, we must fight. To show newcomer John Heinrich we have his back, we must fight.
If we double down on our efforts, whether by money, time or talents, we will help to unveil that so-called Blue Wave for what it really is--a Blue Cesspool. And we will find that a swamp won’t be the only thing drained this election year.
You are the activists. You are the powerful, if under appreciated, heart of the Republican Party. While your neighbors, friends and family go about clueless about the stakes of this election, you are engaged. You sacrifice. And you care. Because you have been given an extraordinary vision for our great country.
Jeff Johnson has set the precedent in his primary win. No matter your name. No matter your money. No matter your prior history. What counts in the end is standing for our God given rights, preserving our liberties, without apology, and fighting to the end. And in that end truth shall prevail.
