To the editor:
I heard recently that State Rep. Abigail (Whelan) Forman has decided not to run for re-election in Ramsey and Anoka. She will be missed.
For this fall’s election, I know that John Heinrich is running for this open legislative seat. I recently met him and am very impressed with his background and experience. Heinrich is a Marine Corps Veteran who served two tours of duty in Iraq. Years ago, he took a local job doing shoveling and sweeping at a nearby asphalt company; he then worked his way up to doing estimating projects for that company, and he’s now the vice president of that local business.
Heinrich works hard and knows our community well. He’s been a local youth sports team volunteer, and is active at his church in Ramsey – attending with his wife and their three children.
His background in asphalt will help him to make good road and bridge decisions at the State Capitol – for completing safety upgrades here on Highway 10.
His other priorities include: keeping taxes under control and ensuring for strong schools that prepare all children for success.
For the Nov. 6 election, my husband and I will be voting for John Heinrich. We encourage others in Ramsey and Anoka to also vote for Heinrich.
